Hours Away [1]

Pluto (right) and its biggest moon, Charon, loom larger in these July 12 images from New Horizons. The craft is scheduled to fly about 8,000 miles (12,500 km) from Pluto on July 14. These images show a canyon system bigger than the Grand Canyon at the lower right limb of Charon, and large impact craters on both worlds. [NASA/JHUAPL/SWRI]
