BepiColombo, a European craft that will orbit the planet Mercury, lifts off from Kourou, French Guiana, on October 19. The mission consists of two separate orbiters, which are traveling to Mercury attached to a connecting frame. After several flybys of the Sun's closest planet, they will enter orbit in 2025.
