Ringed Splendor [1]

Hubble Space Telescope snapped this picture of Saturn on June 20, 2019, as part of a project to monitor the solar system's giant outer planets. The view reveals bands of clouds, a hexagonal cloud formation at the north pole, and Saturn's magnificent rings. Saturn was at its closest point to Earth when the image was taken, at roughly 845 million miles (1.36 billion km). [NASA/ESA/A. Simon (GSFC)/M.H. Wong (UC-Berkeley)/OPAL Team]
