Busy Heart [1]

Wisps of gas, the fires of newborn stars, and a dark zone of starbirth highlight this Webb Space Telescope view of Sagittarius C, a busy region near the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy. The hydrogen gas, shown in blue, wraps around the dark stellar nursery, which forms a 'V' shape near top left. Bright filaments of hot gas form red tendrils near the bottom of the V. The bright region at right is a young star cluster. [NASA/ESA/CSA/STScI/S. Crowe (UVA)]
