Dawn Comet
Featured on July 3, 2020
Comet NeoWISE (C/2020 F3) is becoming brighter in the dawn sky. It survived a close passage around the Sun on July 3, and is bright enough to see with binoculars. It could brighten enough to be visible to the eye alone. This chart shows its approximate position for early July. The scale at right shows the approximate height above the horizon. Ten degrees is roughly the width of your fist held at arm's length. More details. [Sellarium/Damond Benningfield]
