Turbulent Giant

Giant storms ripple across the atmosphere of Jupiter, the solar system's largest planet, in this 2000 view from the Cassini spacecraft. The largest storm, the Great Red Spot, is bigger than Earth. Jupiter spins so rapidly that the clouds atop its atmosphere are stretched into globe-encircling bands, with ripples at their edges.
